Private Utility Locates

Ontario One Call is a call everyone needs to make before starting any excavation on a project. However, Ontario one call does not mark the privately owned utilities in your work area. This is when you call us and request a private locate to insure all utilities that have not been found in the field are discovered and located accurately.

Tracer Wire Conductivity Testing

Whether you are the contractor installing or the developer who is overseeing a project, insuring the tracer wire you installed on a new none conductive utility works is extremely important for protecting that plant going forward. Before you sign off on anything being installed, make sure it was installed correctly and can be found again after the project is done with us performing a tracer wire test.

Sewer Pipe Camera Rodding & Locating

Often times, Storm & Sanitary mains and laterals are not able to be located with traditional locating equipment. If requested when contacting us or field technician can be equipped with a Locatable Rod and camera to find these lines. It may require access to buildings and restricted areas but OUL can make sure those fragile and often unlocatable pipes are found in the field.

Contract Utility Locates

Ontario Utility Locates provides contract locate services for Public Utility Owners through the Ontario One call Program. OUL is highly qualified to maintain and oversee all the locates for any underground utility who is need of a Locate Service Provider (LSP)

Public Locate Coordination & Verification

Having trouble navigating the Ontario one Call system when trying to request locates? Maybe you just don't have the staff or time to request all the One call tickets you need. OUL has the familiarity and staff to do all the locate requests you need. Contact us and we will do the requesting for you going forward.

Dedicated Locating

A Dedicated Locator is a locator that is committed to a specific project. Using a Dedicated Locator for a project allows the project to have devoted staff whose job it is to ensure locates (including relocates/remarks, if needed) are completed when and where the Excavator needs them.

Hydro Vac - Excavation

Hydro Vac equipment is a non-destruction way of excavation around utilities. Using pressurized water to liquefy the soil around the utilities and use a large vacuum to "suck" it all up. Hydro Vac Excavation is the safest form of excavating around utilities.

Ground Penetrating Radar

Ground penetrating radar or GPR for short is a state of the art geological locating tool that we have at our disposal. GPR is used to find under ground anomalies that traditional locating tools may not be able to find such as Rebar, Empty Conduits or duct structures, underground tanks and even underground voids.

One-Call Paint Refresh

Depending on the Utility Owner/plant, the validity of your Ontario OneCall ranges in days. From 30 days, to the life of the projects, the paint rarely stays visible during your project while your paper work is still valid. We can refresh all of your Ontario OneCall Locates in most of the industry colours for you. Provide us with your OneCall Locates Package and we will refresh everything for you to be seen with high visibility again.

Utility Mapping

Utility maps of your job site can greatly help find, maintain and track all the different utilities on your site. We are able to accurately locate, mark and GPS map your utilities on your site. We will provide you with all the necessary documentation, files and maps of your site, in one convenient package.

Concrete Scanning

Concrete scanning is a non-destructive testing method primarily using Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) to locate embedded objects like rebar, conduits, and post-tension cables within concrete structures before cutting, drilling, or coring. It ensures safety, prevents damage, and improves project efficiency by providing a subsurface image.
